Krysten Cummings is a native of New Jersey, but has made her home in London. As a vocalist, she’s traveled the world, sharing the stage with such artists as Tina Turner, Chaka Khan, Ronnie Jordon and Carleen Anderson. She’s performed as a featured vocalist with the indie-rock band Hard-Fi at the iTunes and V-Festivals and is a founding member of The Rotten Hill Gang with Mick Jones.
In addition to being an accomplished singer/songwriter, Krysten originated the role of Mimi Marquez in the Canadian and London productions of the groundbreaking musical Rent, before winning the part on Broadway. Her portrayal earned her nominations for The Dora Mavor Moore and Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Musical. On screen, Krysten starred as Detective Rios in the sequel to the cult horror hit The Descent.
Krysten joined Team UK in Eurovision ’13 as backing vocalist and on keys for Bonnie Tyler. Later that year, toured Australia and the UK as a first cover Mary Magdalene in the arena tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Jesus Christ Superstar.
